Aquatic Park Center; Berkeley,

Directly
adjacent to Berkeley’s Aquatic Park, an oasis of lagoons
and parkland just off I-880, the Aquatic Park Center boasts
panoramic views of the Golden Gate Bridge, Marin County,
and San Francisco’s Financial District. With the completion
of all three phases of the project, Aquatic Park Center consists
of office, bio-tech lab, Berkeley Theatre space, a childcare
center, an insurance company office and claims center, and
State of California regional DOHS labs and offices. The 350,000
square foot Park occupies multiple parcels assembled on both
sides of 7th Street in Berkeley, California.
The combined three
phases of the project required an assemblage of numerous older
industrial parcels of land and obsolete buildings as well as
designing and entitling a self-contained business park.
The entire project
was constructed and
financed over a four-year
period. Scher converted
his interest from a
general partnership
interest to a limited
partnership interest, upon his relocation from the Bay Area to
Santa Barbara, and
continues to hold his
limited partnership
interest. |
